Rallying his footings behind all APC Candidates, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu local government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina has urged members of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Ikorodu LG, including ward executives to vote for Ikorodu federal lawmaker, Hon. Babajimi Benson back into the house of representatives.
Speaking at his special new year inter-religion thanksgiving service held at the council secretariat on the 6th of January 2023, Adesina expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the national lawgiver, citing JB as a leader worth symbolising.
According to Adesina, “the good people of Ikorodu local government must do a self surveying on those who’ve completed their commitments over the years as they ready for the electioneering period”
“It is not about sentiment, but about competency and selfless services, putting the interest of the people above all other agendas. And our amiable Babajimi Benson is not far from that trait as an erudite bureaucrat”.
“He has accomplished a lot of projects, attracted a lot of progress and stimulated overwhelming progressive mechanisms, which is a great plus in making Ikorodu division the 3rd largest city in the southwest region and 12th largest city in Nigeria”.
“This is why our PVC should only support those that have proven themselves, with an effective track record, worthy of the position they occupy or they intend to” Adesina said.
The council boss, who noted that prior to the elections, a day will be set aside to access every member’s permanent voters card, further instructed his entire personnel and ward excos to hurl their backing behind Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Presidential Flag-bearer for the All Progressive Congress, Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, representing the Lagos east senatorial district and Hon Gbolahan Ogunleye, APC candidate for Ikorodu constituency 1 at the Lagos state house of assembly.
