SERVICE TO HUMANITY: IKORODU PIONEER VIRTUAL LIONS CLUB DONATES SANITARY PADS TO FEMALE STUDENTS OF IKORODU SENIOR GRAMMAR SCHOOL ®™√ INN Nigeria © 393j3nnen3mm8206016325585341129 Always aiming to put smiles on the face of inhabitants, Members of Ikorodu Pioneer Virtual Lions Club touched down at Ikorodu Senior Grammar School on the 4th of March 2023. Led by the club's President, Lion (Dr) Bola Shogbesan, the organisation, fondly known to alleviate hunger, directed its service towards empowering female students of the institution. In orientating and supporting the girl child, the Club provided over 100 sanitary pads for senior female students of the school, seizing the medium to also enlighten them on how to keep their bodies neat and prevent themselves from illnesses. Before distributing the pads to the students, the club was warmly received by Mrs A.O Adeyemi, Principal of the school, who lauded the team for making out time to cater to the growing number of female students and educating them to become responsible women in the future. Mrs Adeyemi also told the club to continue in their act of kindness and generosity, asserting that only God can reward their continuous efforts to improve humanity. Speaking to the students afterwards, Lion (Dr) Bola Shogbesan, the Club's President, notified them to preserve their neatness even when they go through their normal menstrual cycle. Explaining that even though some parents do not have enough money to buy pads for their children, which results in using napkins, she said constant washing of their personal belongings will help them to live a healthy life. She proceeded, "Pads are absorbent materials that attach to the inside of a girl's underwear and catch menstrual blood". "It is disposable, with arms to manage menstruation and maintain menstrual health" she added Furthermore, Lion Shogbesan concluded by indicating that the club provided free sanitary pads for the students, as a form of reminder for them to always take their health seriously and avoid infections of all sought. Dignified By Grace, a London Based Foundation, convened by Mrs Temi Koleowo procured the sanitary pads for the Club which more than 100 students benefited from. Former Ikorodu Pioneer Virtual Lions Club Presidents, Lion Adeola Rotinwa NLCF, and Lion Princess Adebukola Adefolayiga NLCF were also present to execute the project.

2023: EX-PDP GUBER CANDIDATE, LP SENATORIAL CANDIDATE DUMP PARTIES, JOIN FORCES WITH APC ®™√ INN Nigeria © fb img 16790327459752148435642221063956 Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu's re-election bid received a major boost on Wednesday as former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Dr Ade Dosunmu and Labour Party's Lagos Central Senatorial candidate on February 25 National Assembly poll, Chief Adesunbo Onitiri dumped their parties to work for the Governor's re-election. Dosunmu and Onitiri, who defected to APC with thousands of their supporters and members across Lagos State, declared their intentions to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and work for the party during Saturday's governorship and House of Assembly elections. They made the declarations on Wednesday during a meeting with Governor Sanwo-Olu and APC leaders at Lagos House, Marina. Governor Sanwo-Olu also received chairmen of 13 political parties, who are members of the Conference of Political Parties (CPP) as well as members of the Eyo Alakete Pupa Ikolaba Ekun led by Prince Uthman Sodipe-Dosunmu. They all pledged their support towards the re-election bid of the Governor. Speaking during the event, the defectors said they have seen what Sanwo-Olu had achieved in the last four years and decided to align with his government. Dosunmu, who defected to APC with members of the Lagos State PDP as well as House of Representatives and House of Assembly candidates of the party, said their endorsement of Sanwo-Olu for re-election was in the interest of Lagos State. In his declaration speech, Dosunmu said their decision to join APC was based on the dynamic leadership of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the manner with which the incumbent Governor Sanwo-Olu has been piloting the affairs of Lagos State since he assumed office about four years ago. He said: "Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is a man of exceptional dynamism, a listener, and a good crisis manager. I must state that his inspiring personal style of leadership is equally deserving of my humble commendation. The steady and self-assured way he has been piloting the affairs of Lagos State cutting across every sector with characteristic skills and sobriety is commendable. His great exploits in the areas of infrastructure development, youth empowerment, education, health, direct foreign investment, and transportation (rail and land transportation) among others are enormous. "I want to urge all members of the APC in Lagos State to see this current political realignment as a unique opportunity for greater mobilisation, consolidation, and breaking of new grounds in the build-up to the Governorship and State Assembly elections. A vote for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is a vote for strong collaboration with the Federal Government of Nigeria under the able leadership of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He commended all the defectors and assured them that he will not disappoint them for supporting his re-election.

RE: DON’T ARREST ANY MOTORIST, SANWO-OLU WARNS LASTMA ®™√ INN Nigeria © fb img 16863785586661705408803098953377 The attention of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has been drawn to the recurring fake news circulating on social media, purported to have been said by the Governor of Lagos State Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu that, "Henceforth no LASTMA Officials should arrest any motorist, either commercial or private. LASTMA must manage traffic and not arrest". A statement released by the Director, of the Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA, Mr Adebayo Taofiq said the General Manager of the Agency, Mr Bolaji Oreagba had previously debunked the fake online news which had alleged that LASTMA Officials were banned from arresting motorists who flout the Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law, 2018. Mr Oreagba explained that the false report, which is the handiwork of faceless mischief makers, has been repeatedly circulated online since February 2020 despite being severally refuted by the management of LASTMA. He warned Lagosians, especially motorists, to be wary of online reports aimed at causing chaos and mischief within the society. "I wonder why some individuals choose to always mislead others to contravene the traffic law of the State as amended by the State House of Assembly in 2018", he noted. General Manager hinted that part of the Agency's responsibility is to uphold and enforce the traffic laws of the State, maintaining that the officers and men of LASTMA will not hesitate to enforce those laws whenever violated to transform the State's transportation system towards ensuring the free flow of traffic and reducing road accidents. According to him, "The motoring public is advised to ignore and disregard all fake news circulated by faceless individuals and designed to lead them into breaking the traffic law of the State". He stated further that all working ethics of the Authority, including its operations, are being regulated by the State's Laws. General Manager confirmed that the Agency is currently operating with modern technological innovations in addressing traffic challenges by equipping traffic management personnel with new hand-held Traffic Management Solution (TMS) devices that capture real-time traffic violations on the road, in addition to a signalised intersection and junction improvement. While thanking all road users for their support and cooperation with LASTMA which has culminated in the reduction in travel time, Oreagba, however, advised motorists to call any of the Agency's hotlines (08100565860, 08129928503 & 08129928597) for any inquiry or clarification on the activities of the Agency.

Pastor Ashimolowo, who's also the President of Christ Compassion To The Rural World, paid a courtesy visit to the paramount ruler of the waterbed region in Lagos State, with plans to organise an international convention on the last quatre of 2023. Approximately 80 communities in the central axis of Ikorodu Central were fully represented at the palace, culminating with high chiefs, Ayangbure-in-council, and baales. Olori Abosede Kudirat Shotobi, wife of HRM, Sat by the side of the king as Ikorodu received the foremost clergyman. Welcoming the Founder and his delegates, Otunba Ayodele Elesho, special aid to the king, described the visit as a moment of joy to see Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo back in Ikorodu. He said, "We learnt that your missionary career started here in Ikorodu many years ago, and we're pleased to see God bringing you back, not only to see us but also to come and advance the Kingdom of God here". "From the information I've gathered, the International convention to be organised by KICC in Ikorodu is a pleasant and laudable idea, which we're looking forward to amassing with open arms". "We want to let you know that every assistance you need which the palace can provide, on behalf of the Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom, Consider it done!" Otunba Elesho affirmed. Elesho also said that the palace will not just support the convention physically, but will also join the church in prayers to ensure the program ends up successful. Before speaking about the program, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo reminded everyone that he had lived in Ikorodu 49years ago and left the waterbed region some 47years ago, adding that it's a great feeling to be able to come back, and this time with the good news of Jesus Christ to touch the city. Illustrating the program proper to the King and all present at the palace, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, said the assignment which is billed to undertake a major outreach in the Ikorodu division was placed in his heart by God after 3years of fervent prayers. According to him, the program which will run for 7 consecutive days will provide welfare packages to cater to 50,000 residents in Ikorodu. Food items, clothes and educational gadgets for students will also be disbursed during the week-long program. He continued, "Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), during the program, will support 200-300 families requiring medical operations with free surgeries at Ikorodu General Hospital". "60 million naira worth of prescription drugs will be doled out to residents after people have been diagnosed to know the right medication needed". Pastor Matthew illustrated that the last Saturday of the program will be a medical affair where Igbogbo Stadium (the venue for the convention) will be converted into an open hospital to cater for health-challenged individuals. And on that same Saturday night, there will be a major evening crusade. "We're aware that Igbogbo Stadium is still under construction as we speak, but before coming here, we had a meeting with the Lagos State Government, and we've been told that the stadium will be completed by September, before the program set date (in November)". "Nigeria is at a crossroads and we're going through a lot of challenges, we must bring help, relief and blessing to the people in Ikorodu" Pastor Ashimolowo asserted Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo later presented 'The Power Of Positive Prayers', a book he authored that contains 15,000 prayer points to the King. His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom, in his speech, thanked Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo for coming to Ikorodu, calling the day remarkable. Oba Kabiru said though Pastor Ashimolowo found his way back to Ikorodu, He (the King) has been peeking to meet with the clergyman for quite some time. He continued, "When Pastor Adeboye, founder of the Redeem Christian Church of God came to Ikorodu for a special program, I requested he prayed for LASPOTECH to become a University, he did and it came to pass". "Later, when Pastor Folorunsho Kumuyi of Deeper Life Church visited Ikorodu for another special program, I requested he prayed for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to become the next President of Nigeria, he did and today we have him as President". "For our dear Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, I only have one request for him, he should pray for us that the next Governor of Lagos State should come from Ikorodu because we're long overdue for it". The King also suggested that the venue for the convention be shifted to LASUSTECH to have a bigger space. Pastor Ashimolowo subsequently gave reasons as to why the church decided to use Igbogbo Stadium. Oba Shotobi prayed for the church to continue to expand across the globe, adding that Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo should make KICC more visible in Ikorodu. Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS) Chairman, Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo gave the closing remarks by appreciating Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo for allowing God to direct him back to Ikorodu, asserting that the entire division will be gazing ahead to work with his positive course. Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo was accompanied by; Pastor Wole Oladiyun, Chief Mrs Folukemi Olusanya, Rev. Dr Janet Onaolapo, Rev.
