009999998822246813188582847 One of the high points of the 4th anniversary of the Ijede LCDA unified youth forum was the recognition of Alhaji Saminu Akinwande Bashiru, an Ijede-based retired public servant.
The occasion which took place at the Golden Heaven event centre in Ijede LCDA played host to personalities from across the land of cool breeze and aquatic splendour on the 14th of January 2023.
Receiving the special Award, Alhaji Saminu, chaperoned by his family conveyed that he's an established public servant who started his profession as a mere cleaner.
Admiring the current trajectory of the youth forum, Saminu Akinwande explained that during his time, his peers attempted to set up a formidable pressure group (like the Ijede-Egbin youth forum) which expired in triviality.
Alhaji Saminu clamoured, "Am happy to be alive to see a forum like this, who's been struggling for a greater Ijede, and they're winning".
Telling the backstory that earned him the prestigious award (to Ikorodu News Network), Alhaji Saminu illustrated that after performing the job of a cleaner, he went on to further his education, later returning to continue as a cleaner, before rising the ranks to become an assistant general manager of the same company. "Today, as a master's degree holder, I am a Chartered Accountant, a Charter Tax practitioner, and a fellow member of the Institute of Taxation. And all those accomplishments came up after I left my cleaning work".
"I am sure the Award came to me through those inspiring stories" Bashiru stated.
Also lengthening his commendation to the youth forum, Alhaji Saminu exhorted the pressure faction to continue their good actions, affirming that he's a silent supporter, who doesn't make noise but knows when and how to assist the group.
"We understand what they're performing in the interest of Ijede LCDA, so we'll not relent in bestowing them our support". "I also want to use this medium to encourage the youth. it's not how you start that matters, but they should remain focused, despite their shortcomings. Tomorrow will always be greater" Alhaji Saminu opinioned
