A substantial quote from Lion Prince Tunji Oredipe NLCF, project coordinator of Ikorodu Metropolitan Lions club, leading his club members to the premises of Unique Nelly Academy.
The program tagged, ‘A day with the Widows’, Feeding the Hunger, converged the service to humanity-based club at the Igbodu axis of Ikorodu for uplifting reasons.
Offering to lay smiles on the faces of the elderly, the club banded with Great Height Women Achievers International Club on the 17th of January 2023, to cater to widows around Ijede LCDA.
Amassed by the Women of Integrity’s founder, Princess (Chief) Scholastica Chinyerem Ezuma, the synergy was entirely cheered as welfare packages were distributed to over 50 widows in attendance.
Proceeding with his message of inspiration, Lion Oredipe stated that the club has been supportive over the years based on membership united capacity, which has made a difference.
He continued, “The resemblance between us and Princess Scholastica is her passion to support people around her community”.
“Today, we’re aiding the widows through the corridor of Princess Scholastica, letting her know that giving makes the world go round, and she should continue caring for the widows to the best of her capability”.
“Helping the less privileged and needy has been our goal from day one, and we do it for no political reasons or eye service”.
“We understand the unspeakable joy that arouses from our type of service, and that satisfaction alone is priceless” Lion Tunji asserted
In her remarks of appreciation, Princess Scholastica Ezuma, also the founder of Great Height Women Achievers International Club, praised Ikorodu Metropolitan Lions Club for their consistently given habit, urging them to continue aiding the less privileged.
“It is only God that can reward the givers, and I know my God will support all members of Ikorodu Metro for all they do around Ikorodu”.
“This is the second time this year we’re putting such a program together for the widows, and seeing Ikorodu Metropolitan Lions Club leveraging on it is a thing of utmost relief” Princess Ezuma pointed out.
Hinting her interest to join the club, Princess Scholastica requested the project coordinator to engage her in the various requirements needed to officially make her a unit of the club.
Beneficiaries subsequently rained prayers and favour and blessing on the club, expressing their sincere gratitude for the welfare packets provided.
Lion Shobowale Babatunde NLCF, Immediate Past President of Ikorodu Metropolitan Lions Club, Lion Ahmed Ajayi NLCF, Lion Olugbemiga Matthew NLCF, Lion Olajuwon Oguntimein NLCF and the teaching team of the Unique Nelly Academy were also in attendance.
