Picking up more speed towards the forthcoming elections, the leadership of APC Ikorodu LGA ward G inaugurated its polling unit officers on the 8th of February 2023.
The inauguration program held at Otunba Awolesi street, Mowokekere, Ikorodu, featured an orientation session on ways polling units officers can work effectively with its electorates.
Members in attendance were also lectured on what the All Progressive Congress (APC) intends to achieve during and after the elections, sensitising residents on when and how to vote at their designated polling units.
Ogunpitan Adeneye, ward G Agura Ikorodu Central secretary, told Ikorodu News Network (INN) that the program aims to synergise voters with the voting process.
According to Ogunpitan, voters are educated via the program on what to do during the election period, how to vote and where to cast their votes based on their polling units.
Asserting that eligible voters were given illustrations of how to make use of their thumbs during the voting procedure, Ogunpitan said that dwellers were urged to prevent applications that will produce errors on their path, further disqualifying them from exercising their civic responsibilities.
Ogunpitan proceeds, “Designated polling officers must educate voters ahead of time to prevent constraints”.
“We’re doing this to achieve our party’s aim, ensuring that our people are fully prepared to support all our candidates”.
Ogunpitan added that members have also been told to reach out to more voters in backing of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressive Congress Presidential Candidate, the re-election of Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and all other APC flag-bearing candidates in Ikorodu division.
“The massive crowd you’re beholding is a testament to the optimism the people have for our party, and we’re certain that come February 25th and March 11th, victory is ours from top to bottom” Ogunpitan concluded
