The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Commandant of Corps ( CC ) Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, today, Thursday, 9th February 2023, visited, the State Director of Security ( SDS ), Department of State Services, Lagos State Command, Sheikh Mohammed Waziri, in his office.
CC Usman Alfadarai assured the
State Director of Security (SDS) and his management staff officers at the courtesy visit, of the Command’s readiness under his watch, to upscale the already established good working relationship between the Corps and the State services in the areas of operation and intelligence gathering and sharing in the State.
“It is imperative for us to synergize to keep the country safe. We can not also afford this country to disintegrate, therefore, all security agencies must work together in harmony,” Alfadarai said.
The State Director of Security ( SDS ), Department of State Services, Lagos State Command, Sheikh Mohammed Waziri, fsi, mni, responded by commending the Commandant General ( CG ) Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for the appointment of a square peg in a square hole also congratulated the new Lagos State Commandant and welcomed him to the State of Excellence.
He also charged the officers and men of the Corps to keep the integrity they are popularly known for and remain professional in the discharge of their constitutional duties, so, they will continue to earn the trust the people have in them.
He further enjoined the NSCDC, State Commandant, to feel at home to work harmoniously with the State Services, during the forthcoming elections and beyond in a bid to make the society safe, especially, to sustain the already established tranquillity being enjoyed in the State at this critical time.
In the same vein, the State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Commandant of Corps (CC) Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, also visited the Commander, 9 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Isang Akpaumontia, today, in his office, at Ikeja Cantonment.
Alfadarai said that the visit was also pivotal to pay homage to the Army and further strengthen the already well-established working relationship, between both agencies in the State.
He further seized the opportunity also to share his privileged experiences from various courses and training he has obtained from the Nigerian Army and how well they will help to shape the robust interactions and security solutions the Corps will bring to bear in the State.
The 9 Brigade Commander, in his response, also appreciated the State Commandant for finding out time to pay him an official visit, since his resumption as the new headship of the Corps in Lagos.
The Commander, in a robust interactive session, during the visit also commended, the telepathic relationship between both agencies in the State, which has made them not record any case of rivalry and assured the Corps of the cordial and harmonious working relationship, while enjoining it to be opened to training and retraining of personnel and other activities, which will further help to cement their relationships in the best interest of the country.
