Former Ikorodu Federal Constituency House of Representatives member, Honourable Abike Dabiri-Erewa has expressed optimism about the electoral process of the ongoing general elections.
She conveyed her sanguinity to Ikorodu News Network (INN) at Ikorodu Central ward 007 polling unit (opposite the palace of the Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom) where she did her accreditation and cast her vote.
Abike Dabiri, Chairman, of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, who exercised her civic right in Ikorodu, utilised the medium to soothe anxious voters, notifying them to be patient with the capable INEC officials on the ground.
She further encouraged more women to turn out and vote.
Abike explained, “We have more men and youths coming out to vote which I’ll say it’s not very cheerful to our mothers, I want to see more women around our polling units”.
“From all proof, the restored hope we’re expecting to come with the new governance will create more opportunities for women and youths most especially. So I want to see more mothers coming out to vote”.
“With that said, I must congratulate our people for not only coming out early to vote, but also conducting themselves in good countenance, and showing their keen interest in deciding the faith of our next governmental approach”.
“It shows they’re ready to make changes that will positively transform our nation” Abike asserted
25th of February dated election is slated for Presidential, Senatorial and House of Representatives elections.
