Ikorodu federal legislator, Hon. Babajimi Benson MHR, has called on his constituents to lend a landslide victory to the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Ikorodu flag-bearing candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), at the oncoming Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections.
Rep. Benson, who was recently re-elected as a member house of representatives for the waterbed region, made the statement known on Saturday 4th 2023, at the March edition of his monthly Apo Anu food distribution.
According to Rep. Benson, a minimum of 100,000 ballots should be recorded to the Lagos governor and the two Ikorodu constituency 1 and 2 candidates running for seats in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
He explained, “Ikorodu on Saturday, March 11, should return to the polls to vote to re-elect Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Lagos State Governor, Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye (for APC Ikorodu Constituency 1 LAHA) and Hon. Abiodun Moshood Aro (for APC Ikorodu constituency 2 LAHA)”.
Instructing his constituents to be more distinguished, Rep. Benson insisted the over 60,000 votes that gave him triumph should be heightened to 100,000 votes on March 11th, asserting that the waterbed region is equal to the task.
Highlighting the feats of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu which has manifested more in the Ikorodu division, Rep. Benson called on every voter who he referred to as canvassers to win more voters to the APC.
“Let me also use this opportunity to appreciate my constituents for their steadfastness and the APC’s performance at the last presidential election, I am confident we’ll do even more for our serving Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Ikorodu candidates for the State House of Assembly elections” Rep. Benson asserted.
The March edition of Apo Anu recorded 1,000 vulnerable residents of Ikorodu Federal Constituency benefitting from the iCare Food bags distribution.
The national lawgiver on the later, thanked the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Frederick Oladeinde, Prince Kunle Oduborisha, Ikorodu Local Government Chairman, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, Igbogbo-baiyeku LCDA Chairman, Hon. Sesan Daini, Imota LCDA Chairman, Hon. Wasiu Agoro, Ijede LCDA Chairman, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, among other party faithfuls for attending the program.
