9087uhjjfr6641240248200063514 Songs of gratitude in an excitement filled Paul Palmer street in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA as Ikorodu Federal Lawmaker, Rep. Babajimi Benson MHR, made his developmental stride felt in the area on the 5th of March 2023.
Rep. Benson, who recently was re-elected as a member house of representatives, commissioned a brand new improved road for the neighbourhood, once again, bringing the dividend of democracy closer to his constituents.
The road edifice, which is a Tee-junction to the main Igbogbo road stretch, received massive applause from both residents and community leaders.
Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, who was present at the road commissioning, in his quick speech communicated irresistible emotion towards Jimi Benson also dubbed the Julius Berger of Ikorodu Kingdom.
In the king's statement, "Barely a week after his re-election, Rep. Benson is already back on task, giving his constituents reasons to enjoy good governance".
The King prayed on Rep. Benson for more capability and wisdom to deliver and better the lives of his constituents.
Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr. Sesan Daini, who was also praised for his synergy with the federal lawmaker to accomplish the construction appreciated Rep. Benson for always staying true to his promise to his people.
Daini further advised the community CDA to take full responsibility for the road project by maintaining its standard and ensuring its drainage path is well taken care of.
Mr Abayomi Adelakun, CDC chairman said that everyone is not surprised about the performance of Rep. Benson, asserting that his style of leadership is unique and always ready to meet the needs of his people.
Mr Abayomi also commended the chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, explaining that it takes a mindful council boss to positively liaise with leadership at the upper echelon.
Rep. Benson, filled with joy and warmth, in his remarks, thanked the good people of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA for their support towards his re-election, asserting that the road project was a promise he made, and had completed.
Furthermore, he instructed the neighbourhood to eavesdrop on every notice on maintaining the road usage, adding that sustainability is defined when residence takes the duty for their environment.
He concluded by admonishing the people to be ready to vote on the 11th of March for the re-election bid of the Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and also APC Ikorodu constituency 2 candidate, Hon. Abiodun Moshood Aro (AMA).
"On Saturday, March 11th gubernatorial and State House of Assembly election, Ikorodu Division votes should be increased from the 50,000 recorded in the presidential election to over 100,000 for a landslide victory for the APC candidates" Rep. Benson said.
Lagos State Public Works Corporation, LSPWC, Engr. Ayotunde Shodeinde was also present at the street commissioning.
The road project facilitated by Rep. Benson entails the rehabilitation of internal roads within Ikorodu federal constituency, supervised by the federal ministry of works and housing, and was built by Birjib Dynamic Service Limited.
Before his reelection, the federal legislator disclosed to Ikorodu Media Forum (IMF) that he'll be embarking on the construction of 6 roads across Ikorodu division.
