As the March 18th gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections swings in full gear, INEC officials allotted to Ibeshe community in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA are not moving to be overwhelmed by the tough challenge that comes with listing and accreditation of voters.
Setting his unique precedents, Hon. MKO Arowolo, councillor representing Owode-Ibeshe Ward 4 not only exercised his civic rights (by voting), but he also went beyond to deliver a soothing environment for all.
The youth-oriented leader, known for executing unique projects in his neighbourhoods, donated welfare packages and cash gifts to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials across his 64 polling units.
Explaining to Ikorodu News Network (INN), Hon. MKO Arowolo said, “We thank God that the elections are ongoing, and the people are coming out to partake in the process, though the turnout is not like that of the February 25th”.
“It is without a doubt a thing of joy to see all the structures put in place by our federal lawmaker, Rep. Babajimi Benson to aid a favourable and triumphant election for our party, the All Progressive Congress (APC).
“Residents are playing their part presently by voting, and we’re looking onward to pulling a victory for our hardworking Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who has done well in his first tenure and deserves a second term in office”.
“From the civil servants and CDAs to the local government, we appreciate everyone for coming out, because the need to always give room for effective governance is paramount to us all”.
“For the INEC officials, I prepared food, drinks and water for them to take both in the morning and afternoon while their functioning during the electoral procedure”.
“In all, I have about 64 base polling units, and all of them are well taken care of,” Hon. Arowolo said.
