Ikorodu federal lawmaker, Rep. Babajimi Benson MHR, on the 18th of March 2023, returned once again to his polling unit for the gubernatorial and State house of assembly elections.
The National Legislator came to the Molatori polling booth (at Owode-Ibeshe town) with his wife, hurling his vote without a doubt, in favour of the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Ibeshe, a community under Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, is inserted within Ikorodu constituency 2, where Hon. Abiodun Moshood Aro is the party’s candidate vying for the Lagos State House of Assembly seat.
The polling unit was relatively cool and calm with the presence of security details visibly noticed.
With INEC officials on the ground, voters’ enthusiasm was stable, but not pitch high in comparison to the Presidential, Senatorial and House of Representatives elections.
Rep. Benson, who was reelected as Ikorodu federal lawmaker on the 25th of February 2023, has received his certificate of return to the house representatives from the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu is also seeking reelection on March 18th under the All Progressive Congress umbrella.
