Health assistance for people in rural communities was the order of the day on Saturday the 8th of April 2023, as Golden Integrated Empowerment Foundation collaborated with Universal Health Outreach Organisation.
Over 200 residents within Owode Ibeshe community of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA received a free medical check-up in a bid to promote longevity.
The program started with the registration of individuals and vital signs assessment with professional doctors on standby.
Amassing an enormous turnout, the physicians administered numerous diagnoses to beneficiaries, appropriating the required medications as free drugs were also provided to the people relating to their ailment.
High chiefs and Baales in the community were not left out, also taking turns to check their vitals as part of the beneficiaries of the outreach.
Subsequently, the convener of GIEF, Ms Patricia Okosodo gave kudos to doctors on standby, most especially Dr Sunny Peters, coordinator of UHOO, who arrived from the United States of America to join the outreach, putting together a remarkable one.
Ms Okosodo also appreciated her volunteers; Mrs Obayomi Elizabeth, Mary Okosodo, Mrs Toju, Joy Osiobe, Ngeleh Josephine, Victory Okosodo and others.
“I want to thank every service person here today, for their immeasurable support and commitment towards this work, and also, I thank the good people of the Owode-Ibeshe community for coming out to benefit from this course”.
“May God bless and continues to strengthen us all” Ms Okosodo added.
