
The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Was it Adesina, on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, organised and attended the 4th annual Ramadan lecture
Encompassing a special prayer session for the peace, tranquillity and overall prosperity of the waterbed region, the religious program attracted apex leaders in the division, council workers, as well as worshipers to the Ita-Elewa open space in Ikorodu LG.
Tagged ‘The Significance Of The Five Pillars Of Islam’, the session was presided over by Imam Shakirudeen Akanni, founder of the Iradat Family
According to Imam Akanni, a ruler must, be accountable to Allah first, understanding that there are distinct measures Allah has set for direction.
He explained that administrators of people are not expected to default their roles at any point in time, later adding that their accountability to the people follows.
“It exemplifies how rulers ensure that there is justice in the land because as a transformational leader, any reserves of the community must be wielded in the adequate description” Imam Akanni added.
Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN) on the topic, Hon. Adesina characterised the lecture as a faith builder, asserting that residents must abide by the pillars in humility for Allah to grant them successful days.
“As we work towards providing an inclusive government of equity and attracting more development to Ikorodu Local Government, our people must also live by following the doctrines provided by the holy book”.
“We’re positive that this season of Ramadan is key to teaching our people on becoming good individuals, to attain a promising society”.
Adesina called on followers to conform to authorities and constituted councils.
