National Chairman of the Association Of Local Government Vice-Chairmen of Nigeria, and Vice-Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Aarebirin Honourable Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba was honoured with Erelu Ota Heroism Award by Dbard on the 3rd of May 2023.

The Award, presented to the G.D.G of the Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement (ADAM) at the council secretariat, categorized Folashade-Oba as a Girl-Child Prime Mover.

Heroism of Erelu Ota stage play took place at Ikorodu Ultra modern town hall on the 1st of May, credited Ikorodu-born Folashade-Oba for her unique style of leadership, which has made her a face to reckon with across Lagos State and all of Nigeria.

Waliu Adeyeri, Dbard Media’s head of creative, explained to Ikorodu News Network (INN), “Just like the subject character in the stage play, Princess Folashade-Oba is a mother and an absolute role model to all of us”.

“We viewed her fit to bag this Award due to her outstanding achievements and inspirational qualities over the years” Waliu asserted.

Appreciating the team for the Award, Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba expressed humility and excitement for being chosen as a recipient to be honoured.

Referring to her late mother as her greatest source of inspiration, Folashade-Oba explained that her rise to prominence is due to her modesty to learn from other triumphant leaders.

Calling the Award a courage to perform better in her numerous offices, Folashade-Oba expressed her total identification with the organiser’s course, hailing the idea as a creative medium to project the culture and tradition of Ikorodu Division.

She further congratulated the media brand for the successful production of the Heroism of Erelu Ota stage play.
