After reaching lives in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, where the mobile free health care program began weeks ago, the team of health specialists alighted Ojo Local Government Area in Lagos State.
Put together by its convener, Princess Abiodun Islamiyat Oyefusi, the free medical scheme took the Ojo community by surprise, converging dwellers for hours, giving free wellness checks(tests), drug prescriptions, medical consultations and free provision of treatments.
The second stop of the community medics was dated the 18th of June 2023.
Not curbed to only inhabitants, Security personnel were not left out of the program, as members of the Nigeria Police Force (Ojo division) participated in the laudable course, aimed at keeping Lagosians healthy.
Speaking thereafter, Princess Oyefusi told beneficiaries to always take full advantage of the program, adding that only healthy individuals can provide for their families.
She continued, “Just like I said in Ikorodu where we launched this medical scheme, health is wealth and the well-being of residents across Lagos State is the reason why this program has been activated”.
“We pledged to cover neighbourhoods throughout the State, and this is the second area after Igbogbo in Ikorodu that we’ve reached”.
“We’ll not stop until we’ve completely gone around Lagos” Princess Oyefusi asserted
Beneficiaries commended the efforts of Princess Oyefusi and her team of health experts for providing free medical services to the community when they least expected it.
In all, 546 individuals benefited from the program in Ojo LG.
