The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina has applauded Dr Yekini Nurudeen Agbaje, who recently bagged PhD in Educational Management from the Lagos State University (LASU).

The council boss, in a message sent to Ikorodu News Network (INN) on the 23rd of June 2023, stated that Dr Agbaje’s quest for academic excellence has propelled him to his present encomium, adding that life can only equip him for better opportunities based on his outstanding studious practices.

Adesina continued, “We are beyond proud of you for accomplishing this tremendous landmark, your hard work in school has paid off”.

“It is never for the soft to make it to the top of their field with this honour, it takes tenacity, and I couldn’t be more excited to see what you do next”.

oonnnm8108196981063122873 The chairman of Ayetoro CDA, Otunba Olusesan Kajero accompanied by former Ayetoro CDA chairman, Engr. Adeleke Adebule and the secretary of the CDA, Mr Rasak Ajiboye presented a special appointment letter of matronship to the MD/CEO of ESSO Hospital, Dr (Mrs) Odoji Augusta Edoghogho.
Dr. Odoji received the CDA executives at her medical centre on the 28th of September 2023.
Prior to the presentation, the chairman of the CDA, Otunba (Lion) C.O Kajero said Dr. Odoji is well recognised for her numerous contributions to the service of humanity and community development.
Citing her as a force to reckon with in Ayetoro community, Otunba Kajero explained that it is only right for the CDA to honour her as the official Matron of Ayetoro Community Development Association.
"In presenting this letter to our distinguished Dr. Augusta Odoji, we are equally extending our collaborative gesture to her for the development of our community, which is meant to complement the effort of the government.
"She has supported many communities to achieve their growth efforts, that's why we also looking forward to her support in helping us to achieve our goals". "As we function together, it will be a form of refinement, motivation and enhancement of our community in various ways" Otunba Kajero added
Receiving the appointment letter in excitement, Dr. Odoji promised her unwavering support to the new CDA excos, asserting her enthusiasm to team with the association at strategic footings.
Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN), Dr. Odoji said her readiness to work with the CDA was demonstrated during the inauguration of the excos, where she performed the official foundation laying for the CDA's new secretariat.
Underscoring key functions highlighted by Otunba Kajero, she expressed her intent to synergize with the CDA for them to fulfil their 2-year developmental agenda for Ayetoro community.
She continued, "It captured my attention hearing Otunba Kajero talking about using the CDA to empower the youths in our community in the aspect of creating job opportunities".
"Even with the CDA's plan to improve the security architecture of our community, I am delighted about their agenda which by the special grace of God, we'll collaborate to accomplish their goals". "On the health side of things, that is my specialty".

The event held at it's Somi Jaiyesimi Hall on the 17th of September 2023, showcased the club's gratitude towards prestigious individuals who have made a significant impact on the community over the years.
It was an auspicious assemblage filled with celebration, appreciation, and recognition of hard work and dedication.
The eminent personalities and stakeholders were acknowledged for their various initiatives, projects, and efforts that have positively influenced the growth and development of Ikorodu.
Chairman of the Occasion, Chief Adewunmi Ogunsanya, Odofin of Ikorodu, in his brief speech, commended the club's zeal to foster community development across the waterbed region of Lagos State.
Pinpointing the legacy project commissioned by the club earlier before the event, Ogunsanya praised the club for its generous gesture to promote longevity among indigenes and residents of Ikorodu.
He asserted his impression of the club's existing partnership with Ikorodu division initiative (IDPIL/GTE), a synergy that he explained as laudable and worth emulating.
On his path, the president of Oriwu club Ikorodu, Prince Amid Adekunle Oduborisa called attention to the power of community collaboration.
According to the president, the event displays the importance of recognizing those who go above and beyond to make a difference. Underscoring the numerous accomplishments of the club, Oduborisa thanked past presidents for setting the pace to make the 50th anniversary memorable.

The Christ Compassion Crusade's preparations have been nothing short of remarkable. The dedicated team behind the event has already secured a significant quantity of essential supplies, including one thousand bags of Garri, 30 thousand bags of soaps, 24 thousand printed exercise books, 10 thousand buckets, 10 thousand bags of salt, 10 thousand bags of sugar, and two solid generators, one of which is a 350kVA powerhouse. In addition to these tangible resources, Pastor Matthew emphasized the importance of collaboration and spiritual guidance. The crusade team has convened with 320 pastors on the ground to ensure the event's effectiveness, highlighting the spirit of unity and purpose.
Healthcare is a prominent component of the Christ Compassion Crusade. The medical outreach aims to serve over 30 thousand people, with plans to provide 10 thousand deworming tablets for children. Furthermore, free surgeries will be conducted at the Ikorodu General Hospital, benefiting over 200 individuals. Quick tests for malaria, diabetes, and blood pressure, along with eye and dental care, will also be available.
