A beneficiary, Mrs Yusuf Basirat has commended the efforts of Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, who recently distributed 6,000 food packages to residents across Lagos East.

Basirat, from Ikorodu North LCDA, said she’s closely observed the contributions of the Senator towards Ikorodu division, adding that if Ikorodu can possess another leader to perform in the same accord as Senator Abiru, the waterbed region will be transformed rapidly.

Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN) post receiving her package, Mrs Basirat expressed her joy, commending the Lagos East Senatorial District head for meeting the needs of his constituents when it’s necessary.

She explained, “Words cannot express my level of gratitude towards our distinguished Senator Tokunbo Abiru for reaching out to all of us at this season”.

“It is not a secret that things have been hard for us economic-wise, even presently, transportation price has gone up, but it takes a true leader to understand the plight of his people, which Senator Abiru is doing”.

“If we can have other leaders like him here in Ikorodu, our standard of living will improve fast”.

“I pray that God will bless and improve him in everything he does” Basirat asserted

According to the Senator (Abiru), the reason for distributing the food supplies is to appreciate his entire constituents for their understanding of his leadership.

Acknowledging that the economy in its present state is difficult, Abiru said that the aid will ease stress and also help his constituents plan better for the Ileya celebration.

He added that aside from Ikorodu, his other districts which include; Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Somolo and Kosofe also received the same welfare package simultaneously, with each axis earning 1,500 stacks.

During a recent broadcast on his Kicconline channel's "Morning Glow" program, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo shared heartwarming updates on the preparations for the crusade, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to bringing hope and support to the rural world.
The Christ Compassion Crusade's preparations have been nothing short of remarkable. The dedicated team behind the event has already secured a significant quantity of essential supplies, including one thousand bags of Garri, 30 thousand bags of soaps, 24 thousand printed exercise books, 10 thousand buckets, 10 thousand bags of salt, 10 thousand bags of sugar, and two solid generators, one of which is a 350kVA powerhouse. In addition to these tangible resources, Pastor Matthew emphasized the importance of collaboration and spiritual guidance. The crusade team has convened with 320 pastors on the ground to ensure the event's effectiveness, highlighting the spirit of unity and purpose.
Healthcare is a prominent component of the Christ Compassion Crusade. The medical outreach aims to serve over 30 thousand people, with plans to provide 10 thousand deworming tablets for children.
