303k3m3mm5722010121070678791 After inaugurating the community medics in Igbogbo Baiyeku axis of Ikorodu, and stretching the health-oriented program to Ojo Local Government, Princess Abiodun Oyefusi, in keeping true to her words, took the free medical program to Eti-Osa Local Government in Lagos State.
Residents in the community were filled with excitement and gratitude, as the free health care scheme, also dubbed the 'mobile clinic', stormed the town on the 1st of July 2023.
With its team of voluntary professional physicians, nurses and health counsellors, the program catered to expecting and nursing mothers, youths, children and public transport workers around the community.
As the program's forte, free drugs were prescribed and evenly distributed to patients after medical doctors on the ground did their several diagnoses. Former Eti-Osa constituency 1 aspirant for the Lagos State House Of Assembly, Hon Adeniji Aderonke, applauded the free health program, calling it a blessing for her people at a period of necessity.
Hon. Aderonke, who joined in the coordination of the medical scheme, said that with all the hassles going on in the country, including the lingering fuel price hike, the program came to put the hearts of residents in comfort.
"What our amiable Princess Oyefusi is doing is very laudable. Coming all out to bless Lagosians, I am very excited to be a part of this program".
"Her volunteers are on standby to help people detect if they have any health issues, and those that require medical attention are getting the aid they need".
"Sick or not, she has opened the door for all dwellers to be checked and supported health-wise, she deserves the accolades she receiving today," Hon. Aderonke said
Expressing her excitement, Aderonke prayed for God to bestow more strength on Princess Oyefusi to continuously prevail as a blessing to the entire Lagos State.
Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN) post-outreach, Princess Oyefusi conveyed her delight towards the outcome of the program, expanding that it is always a thing of joy for her to see people get the assistance they desire.
Explaining that prioritising humanitarian service is her core focus currently, she let out that programs of this nature should be promoted more often to ease the discomforts of Nigerians.
She continued, "We had a beneficiary, an adult male, who came here with a 297 blood pressure level, our doctors were shocked to encounter such an individual".
"Just imagine if we had not come to do a free medical outreach around this community today, that man was a ticking time bomb to a slumped health".
"It is a thing of gratitude that we're able to touch lives in this way, so far the program has given us remarkable testimonies from our numerous beneficiaries" She added
Hinting her next stop to be Badagry Local Government, Princess Oyefusi affirmed that she won't end the mobile clinic until she touches every Local Government in Lagos State.
Approximately 200 residents benefited from the free medical program.
