The Chairman of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Ikorodu branch, Comrade Fakolade Oluwafemi Oluwaseun JP, recently had an interview session with INN-House.
The session which was held at the teacher’s house in Ikorodu on the 28th of July 2023, examined his second tenure in office, leadership, and the impact of fuel subsidy removal on teachers.
In an exclusive interview with INN-house, Comrade Fakolade spoke about his second tenure in office experience, which includes measures to improve the welfare of teachers and ensure that their rights are protected.
He also emphasized the need for teachers to be more proactive in their duties and to work towards improving the standard of education in the waterbed region.
Comrade Fakolade also spoke about the impact of fuel subsidy removal on teachers, which he said has made things a little difficult for teachers to make ends meet.
He noted that the cost of transportation has increased significantly, which has affected the livelihood of teachers who have to travel long distances to get to their schools.
