It was a colourful atmosphere as graduates from the Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA skill acquisition programme completed their 3 weeks of intensive training on different skills: tailoring, hairdressing, makeup and gentle, skin care, catering, and home essentials, amongst other skills.
The Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr. Olusesan Daini, who was ably represented by Vice Chairman Alh. Maja Okedina, at the graduation ceremony held in the Palace of the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, commended the indigenes and residents of the community for coming out en mass to benefit from the 3 weeks of skill training.
“I congratulate all the graduates on learning their respective skills. I equally enjoined you all to make effective use of the skills you’ve learnt for your good.” Daini said.
Furthermore, the Chairman thanked the New Era Project and Sunglow Business Concept for their collaboration in the course of the programme. “I sincerely commend the efforts of our collaborators and instructors for their commitment and hard work.
“I especially thank my royal father, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the emugoriade 1st and Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom for giving us the space to run the programme for 3 weeks” Daini added.
The Chairman at the occasion stressed that this is not the end of good work in the community as his administration is committed to bringing growth and development to the LCDA.
Miss Kemi, a graduant from the tailoring department during an interview expressed her gratitude, stating that it was a rare privilege to acquire the skill for free. “I humbly thank the Chairman for this privilege to learn and be a boss on my own, I also like to appreciate Kabiesi for the love and support we received from him during our training. Today, I am a proud skincare expert and I have the chairman and other organizers to be thankful for.” She said
Dignitaries like the Iyalode of Igbogbo Kingdom, Adeboruwa Oba in council, the Council-Manager of Igbogbo/LCDA, the Council Engineer, Councilors, and Supervisors, among others, were present to grace the occasion.
