The event recognises Local Government Chairmen in Nigeria for good governance in areas of utilizing the resources at their disposal for the growth and development of their councils. The Nigerian Local Government Excellence Award, LOGEXA 2023 award ceremony was held on Thursday 10th of August, at the National Merit Award Auditorium, Maitama, Abuja. According to the organiser of the LOGEXA 2023, Mr Olayoriju Ilesanmi; “Adesina sits tall in terms of delivering creative and willful administration to the people". "The award is a decoration of responsible governance and encouragement to recipients to do more because the reward of hard work is more work" he added On his path, Ikorodu council boss, Adesina dedicated the award to the good people of Ikorodu, appreciating them for believing in him. Furthermore, he thanked them for their unflinching support towards this administration. He continued, "This indeed is a call for more work, as the reward for good work is more work. "We are poised to beam the spotlight on Ikorodu Local Government and its people". The council chief has since been lauded by the Nigerians In Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Chairman, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Rep. Babajimi Benson (MHR), and other leaders within the waterbed region of Lagos State.
