In a comforting gesture, the Princess Oyefusi Community Medics recently visited Bariga Local Government, providing free medical care to inhabitants.
The team of dedicated healthcare professionals offered a range of services, including check-ups, consultations, and medication distribution on the 19th of August 2023.
Receiving more accolades, residents praised the selfless efforts of Princess Oyefusi for her free medical agenda, which is conducted to improve the well-being of the community and ensure access to quality healthcare for all.
Recall that the mobile clinic kicked off from Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, and strode to Ojo LG, then moved to Eti-Osa LCDA, Badagry LG and presently Bariga Local Government.
Anticipating the program, the Baale of Ilaje community, Bariga, Alhaji Kayode Ayetuwa stated that he had spread the message to residents in his community ahead of the medical outreach, adding that such a scheme is needed in this period of economy downtrodden.
He continued, “I even told all our stakeholders in the community yesterday about this program because health is wealth”.
“People are dying every day now for explanations unknown, it is only paramount we take advantage of opportunities like this to ascertain our health status”.
“I want to express my sincere gratitude to Princess Oyefusi for bringing this laudable program to Bariga, it is obvious she spent money to provide these drugs and cover other logistics” Baale Ayetuwa added.
Mrs Modupe Ogunyemi, a Bariga indigene expressed her heartfelt appreciation to Princess Oyefusi for delivering the free ailment scheme to the Ilaje community.
Describing that she woke up feeling ill, she said it was God that directed the medical outreach to come to her area because she has no money to go to the pharmacy.
Adijat Ogundiyi, another resident who’s dwelled in the community for over 4yrs told Ikorodu News Network (INN) that the program has sent nothing but joy to the town.
“If you go to the drugstore and check the prices of the prescriptions they’re given us here for free, you’ll know that it is only God that brought them here”.
“People are going through a lot in Nigeria, the stress alone has pulled people into unspecified ailments, though I am sick, but am scared to take myself and my child to the clinic, that’s why when I saw this community medics, nobody told me to come and benefit from it,” she said.
Sampling strips and additional anti-malaria drugs were provided for the program due to the growing number of mosquito bite-related sicknesses.
Speaking to Ikorodu News Network (INN), Princess Oyefusi explained that her Community Medics highlights the power of compassion and the positive impact it can have on society.
“I applaud the commitment of my entire team so far to making a difference in people’s lives across Lagos State”.
“At every point neighbourhood, we’ve touched, their fervent passion and selfless service are unparalleled, they are the reason we’ve come this far”.

Furthermore, Princess Oyefusi disclosed that Bariga Local Government recorded the highest number of diabetes cases in all the regions the program has covered.
In all, over 300 residents benefited from the program.
