LIONS CLUB DISTRICT 404A3 MARKS WORLD LITERACY DAY, SENSITIZES IKORODU CENTRAL ON ADULT EDUCATION ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

483jrrn9101219635871817717 In celebration of World Literacy Day, Lions Club District 404A3 organized a special sensitization walk to raise awareness about the importance of adult education in Ikorodu Central.
The event, held on September 8th, aimed to empower individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to improve their lives and contribute to the development of the community.
Leaders and Members of Lions Club District 404A3, assembled at Sabo Axis in Ikorodu where the day's activities kicked off. It began with an informative walk focusing on the significance of adult education and its impact on personal growth and community advancement.
Emphasizing the transformative power of education at any age, the clubs highlighted various opportunities available for adults to enhance their literacy skills.
With flyers shared, intending participants were presented with the opportunity to access educational materials, career guidance, and information on local adult education initiatives.
The walk ended at 'Teachers House' in Ikorodu, where a graduation ceremony was subsequently held for individuals who've participated in the club's adult education program. Adult Education has been a part of the club's protrusion, particularly projected by Ikorodu Diamond Lions Club in the region.
The graduation ceremony culminated with the presentation of certificates to beneficiaries, who were also given platforms to share their testimonies on the transformation they have encountered during the program.
Lion Folashade Shotomide, 1st Vice District Governor of District 404A3 Nigeria, and chairperson for the reading-action program for the Lions Club explained the refinement and mandate that education brings to individuals and communities. Shedding light on the World Literacy Day celebration and the community outreach efforts, she illustrated how the club has taken a significant step towards promoting adult education in Ikorodu.
"By raising awareness on adult education (letting them know that it's never too late to learn) and providing resources, we're are simply empowering people to break barriers, enhance their skills, and create a brighter future for themselves and their community".
She further expressed her gratitude to the Lions Club District 404A3 who contributed to the success of the awareness program.
