Peddling its 50th anniversary in a celebration mode, Oriwu Club’s Friday Group! hosted eminent personalities across the waterbed region on the 8th of September 2023.

The wine and dine evening get-together party featured live band music and dance as the club executives set the ball rolling to Mark it’s Golden Jubilee.

Oriwu Club Ikorodu, a foremost prestigious elite club in Ikorodu consist of well-respected, highly fulfilled and influential individuals in the waterbed region of Lagos State.

Founded in 1973, the club is set to mark its 50th anniversary, reeling out numerous activities and monumental project execution to make its successive agenda visible to future leaders.

During a recent broadcast on his Kicconline channel's "Morning Glow" program, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo shared heartwarming updates on the preparations for the crusade, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to bringing hope and support to the rural world.
The Christ Compassion Crusade's preparations have been nothing short of remarkable. The dedicated team behind the event has already secured a significant quantity of essential supplies, including one thousand bags of Garri, 30 thousand bags of soaps, 24 thousand printed exercise books, 10 thousand buckets, 10 thousand bags of salt, 10 thousand bags of sugar, and two solid generators, one of which is a 350kVA powerhouse. In addition to these tangible resources, Pastor Matthew emphasized the importance of collaboration and spiritual guidance. The crusade team has convened with 320 pastors on the ground to ensure the event's effectiveness, highlighting the spirit of unity and purpose.
Healthcare is a prominent component of the Christ Compassion Crusade. The medical outreach aims to serve over 30 thousand people, with plans to provide 10 thousand deworming tablets for children. Furthermore, free surgeries will be conducted at the Ikorodu General Hospital, benefiting over 200 individuals.
