The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr Sesan Daini, has given credit to the effective policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, regarding the fuel subsidy removal, dubbing the existing Federal Government trajectory a blessing in disguise.
Bldr Daini made the statement on the 8th of September 2023, at Oreta Primary School, where the council built a brand new school building of 5-classroom within 42 days after laying its foundation.
Putting the state of the nation in perspective, Bldr. Daini remarked that if the fuel subsidy was not removed, there wouldn’t be an increase in the financial allocations from the federal government to the local council.
He explained, “The increase in our allocation has made it possible for us to accomplish this project in record time”.
“A lot of other projects will also be accomplished soon including the 50,000 educational items we’ll be distributing soon across all public schools in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA”.
“From Tuesday to Thursday, we’ll make ‘Back 2 School’ activities more memorable for our pupils in this council” He asserted.
The council boss noted that right after commissioning the Oreta school building, he will move to Loja Primary School, to commission a perimeter wall fence that the council also constructed, (facilitated by Hon. Adetutu Banjoko, the only female councillor in the legislative chamber of the council).
Going back to the fuel subsidy removal, Bldr. Daini said, “If the government produces better results during the subsidy removal, it means we (Nigerians) must be patient to realise our dreams”.
In summary, the chairman’s positive outlook highlights the potential benefits the nation has to achieve from the new government policies.
Many reactions towards the construction of the school in record time evaluate the council boss’s dedication to improving education infrastructure in the Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA.
Even Lagos State GAC member, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, the APC apex leader and former Secretary to the Lagos State government, who was present at the occasion commended the council chairman for his administration’s focus on prioritizing education.
Basorun acknowledges Daini’s efforts in constructing the new Oreta Primary School in record time, underscoring the significance of investing in education for the community’s development.
Furthermore, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, also praised Bldr. Sesan Daini for his leadership exertions in enhancing the criterion of education in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA.
The commendation from the revered monarch spoke volumes about the chairman’s quest to thrive on the educational landscape of the area.
It also demonstrated the recognition and support that Bldr. Daini has garnered from various stakeholders in his commitment to improving schooling in the area, as affirmed by Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, APC chairman in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA.
Education Secretary, Mr Amusa Afolabi, praised Bldr Sesan Daini for his unwavering commitment to prioritizing education in his leadership.
Mr Afolabi referred to Daini as a “huge pride” to the LCDA, recognizing the favourable impact of his various initiatives to aid the educational sector.
commendation from the Education Secretary further solidifies Daini’s reputation as a leader dedicated to improving education and fostering a bright future for the community.
Leaders, especially Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun and the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo also applauded the community development strides of the Odofin of Ikorodu Kingdom, Chief Adewunmi Ogunsanya, who through his private community development organization, Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative, upgraded a chunk session of another wing of the school.
