To improve education and technology in the council, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, the Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, presented computers to the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) and two other internal departments.

Dated 11th of September 2023, Adesina presented desktop computers with accessories and printers to the Finance Department, Marriage and Registry Department, and the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) of Ikorodu LG.

According to the council boss, the initiative aims to enhance access to technology and promote digital literacy in the local government.

“For my administration, this great step towards fostering technological advancement is geared towards aiding transformation in governance and enhancing service delivery in the local government”.

“We’re enabling the local government by enhancing efficiency, productivity and connectivity through the donation of technology in an increasingly globalized era”.

Adesina further urged the departments to ensure proper use, and maintenance of the equipment to maximise the benefits and safeguard the sensitivity of information in their various departments.

During a recent broadcast on his Kicconline channel's "Morning Glow" program, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo shared heartwarming updates on the preparations for the crusade, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to bringing hope and support to the rural world.
The Christ Compassion Crusade's preparations have been nothing short of remarkable. The dedicated team behind the event has already secured a significant quantity of essential supplies, including one thousand bags of Garri, 30 thousand bags of soaps, 24 thousand printed exercise books, 10 thousand buckets, 10 thousand bags of salt, 10 thousand bags of sugar, and two solid generators, one of which is a 350kVA powerhouse. In addition to these tangible resources, Pastor Matthew emphasized the importance of collaboration and spiritual guidance. The crusade team has convened with 320 pastors on the ground to ensure the event's effectiveness, highlighting the spirit of unity and purpose.
Healthcare is a prominent component of the Christ Compassion Crusade. The medical outreach aims to serve over 30 thousand people, with plans to provide 10 thousand deworming tablets for children.
