In his continuous stride to enhance education, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr. Sesan Daini disseminated educational materials to primary schools in ward C1 Methodist Primary School, U.M.A.C Eleja Primary School, and A.U.D Primary School to welcome back students to their new academic session.
The council boss launched the distribution program on Tuesday, 12th of September 2023, a promise he affirmed the week prior.
According to Bldr Daini, the educational material donated to the students is part of fulfilling his electoral promises to support primary education, which he made during his quest to seek the people’s backing.
The council boss asserted that the ongoing educational program will witness 50,000 academic items distributed to 12,000 pupils across the 13 primary schools in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA.
Urging students to appreciate their parents at all times, Bldr Daini told the young folks that it was their parent’s votes that had transpired into some of the successful project executions in the LCDA.
Commending the Methodist primary school for their maintenance of the fence built by the LCDA, Daini notified them that the edifice was built by Rep. Babajimi Benson, adding that the school administration would get more reward for the maintenance with a renovation of an abandoned building, which will be commissioned in the next 3month.
The head teacher of Methodist Primary School, Mrs. Ogunfeyimi M.A, appreciated Bldr. Daini over his continuous project execution on the schools across the LCDA.
She said, “Since I’ve been transferred to this school, the council chairman has been always supportive”.
“For his promise to renovate the school building, I will continue to appreciate him if that eventually comes to pass” Mrs Ogunfeyimi added.
Mrs. Oshinibosi Omolayo Sheriffat, Headteacher, at Eleja Primary School Igbogbo, also applauded the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA for the educational materials donated to pupils in the school.
She used the medium to request that other LCDA/LG in Ikorodu division emulate the kind gesture in adding the project to their support plans in order to enhance the educational sector.
Mrs. Oni Olaide, Head Mistress of A.U.D primary school, commended Bldr. Daini and his council delegates for always supporting schools under his jurisdiction.
She dubbed the distribution of free educational materials a ‘Marvellous Project’.
On her path, Princess Basirat Adetutu Banjoko, the council deputy leader representing Igbogbo baiyeku LCDA Ward C1, praised Bldr. Daini for bringing the idea and extending his palliative support to the education wing of the council.
She explained that the empowerment program will ameliorate the stress of parents preparing their children for the new academic session financial wise.
Furthermore, she encouraged the students to focus on their studies in order to achieve their ultimate goal in life, which is to become successful.
