Dubbing the educational support program as a sequel to his 2023 edition of the annual distribution of free General Certificate Examination (GCE), Adesina said the program is another means to impact the educational sector in Ikorodu Local Government.
Beneficiaries also obtained their postcards and exam timetables at the council secretariat during the event.
The free GCE form distribution comes barely two weeks after Adesina organised a free training of over 100 youths on digital skills which he partnered with 'Speed Up Lagos' to accomplish.
Engaging the students before the presentation, the council boss urged students to be focused and prepare for their exams by reading their books so they can come out with flying colours.
He continued, "The presentation of GCE forms has been a yearly routine to assist parents and a means to provide educational support to the youths of Ikorodu".
“You should not relent in your life pursuit, try as much as feasible to acquire extra skills to chip into bridging the unemployment gap in our community and state at large”.
“My administration is making an effort to meet the needs of individuals, groups, and communities to enhance everyone’s well-being”.
"Every beneficiary should seize this opportunity and ensure they get good results because they also stand to benefit from other educational chances this administration would be putting forth such as; free jamb forms, scholarship schemes through tertiary institutions, and more" the council boss said.
Expressing his zeal to further boost the educational sector, Adesina affirmed that the almost completed block of five classrooms in Salvation Army Primary School Ikorodu will be commissioned in a week.
Party leaders, Parents of beneficiaries and Stakeholders present applauded Hon. Wasiu Adesina for his unwavering quest towards developing Ikorodu through his numerous educational schemes.
Beneficiaries of the undertaking also extended gratitude to the chairman for providing a supportive initiative that gave them a seamless registration process. Legatees of this scheme are secondary school students, school leavers, and youths from the seven wards in Ikorodu local government.
