In a heart-wrenching revelation, a 44-year-old man, Olanrewaju Kolawole, has reached out to the Nigerian public for assistance after a DNA test recently exposed that he is not the biological father of any of his four children.
Olanrewaju Kolawole, a native of Ikire in Irewole Local Government Area, Osun State, made his emotional plea during a radio program called “Kokoro Alate” on Agidigbo 88.7 FM in Ibadan, hosted by Oriyomi Hamzat.
The unsettling revelation came to light following DNA testing conducted at the DDC DNA Diagnostic Center in Osogbo. Our correspondent, who closely followed the radio program, reported that Mr Kolawole broke down in tears upon receiving the results, which indicated that none of his four children was biologically related to him.
Kolawole and his wife, Toyin Tella, had entered into matrimony in 2007, and together, they raised four children. The shocking revelation of paternity fraud unfolded when the couple appeared on the radio program to discuss their predicament.
Speaking during the broadcast, Kolawole shared that the initial DNA test for their first child revealed that he was not the biological father. Subsequently, he conducted tests on all three other children, and all the results came back negative, confirming that none of them shared a biological relationship with him.
With his voice trembling, Kolawole implored Nigerians for assistance, stating, “I want Nigerians to come to my rescue because I must not suffer this in vain. I married Toyin in 2007 and gave birth to four children. She gave birth to four children, but none of them belongs to me after findings from a DNA test.”
In contrast, Mrs Tella Toyin contested the DNA results. She expressed her scepticism, stating that she was not present when the samples were taken, and she didn’t know which samples were used. She firmly rejected the results, saying, “I don’t accept the result. I don’t accept it because I was not there when they took samples, and I don’t know which sample they took, so I don’t accept it. I can’t accept it because I know how I conceived those children.”
The situation has raised questions and concerns about the validity and accuracy of DNA testing, sparking discussions within the community about the necessity of revisiting this issue and the emotional turmoil it can cause for families involved. The case of Olanrewaju Kolawole underscores the need for empathy, understanding, and support for those facing similar circumstances.
