In a proactive move towards community development, Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, under the leadership of Executive Chairman Bldr. Sesan Daini, organized a special multipurpose event on Wednesday, 15th November, 2023.
Themed “Getting Together For A Prosperous Future,” the event included a Y2024 budget consultative forum and the commissioning of boreholes across various wards.
The program, aimed at fostering collaboration between stakeholders and residents, provided a platform for valuable suggestions and contributions to shape the council’s budget priorities for the upcoming year.
The initiative commenced at Poroboge street in Unity Estate, where Vice-Chairman Hon. Nuraini Okedina-Maja led the council in commissioning a borehole project.
The event also featured a free medical outreach, demonstrating the LCDA’s commitment to the overall well-being of its residents.
Delegates from the council then visited different wards, engaging with stakeholders and commissioning borehole projects.
Notable installations were carried out in APC secretariats at Oba Ijaolu road, Elepe, Rabaka, Ibeshe, and Meri road in Igbogbo.
Ward councilors such as Hon. Habeeb Adekunle Anifowoshe from ward C5, Hon. MKO Arowolo from ward C4, only female legislator in the chamber, Hon. Adetutu Banjoko from ward C1 , Hon. Akeem Solawon from ward C2, and the leader of the legislative chamber in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, representing ward C3, Hon. Nurudeen Alimi played key roles in facilitating these community-focused initiatives.
Speaking to the Ikorodu News Network (INN), Hon. Nuraini Okedina-Maja, highlighted the LCDA’s commitment to prioritizing the needs of the residents in preparation for the 2024 budget.
He emphasized the council’s dedication to amplifying projects and improving the standard of living across the LCDA.
Hon. Okedina-Maja assured that all suggestions from stakeholders would be carefully considered and implemented.
The community, through its ward councilors, expressed gratitude to Chairman Bldr. Daini for his continuous efforts in advancing the standard of living and meeting the needs of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA residents.
