Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) took a significant step towards shaping its future as leaders and stakeholders convened for a Stakeholders’ Consultative Forum to deliberate on the proposed Y2024 budget themed “Sustainable Economic Development.”
The event took place at the council’s secretariat hall on Thursday 30th of November 2023 attracting high presence of community stakeholders.
Representing the Executive Chairman, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Femi Kabir, underscored the administration’s commitment to building on the successes of the past year.
Notable achievements included the rehabilitation of Oke-Eletu Primary Healthcare Center, procurement of a new ambulance, and the distribution of food palliatives benefiting over 2000 residents and council staff.
In his address, he highlighted the administration’s strides in road palliatives, road grading, and renovations of key infrastructure like the Ijede and Egbin township halls.
The Vice Chairman also disclosed ongoing projects, emphasizing the commencement of construction for the first primary school in Igbe-Ogunro.
During the interactive session, stakeholders received updates on existing projects, and the Vice Chairman outlined plans to implement impactful projects in every ward of Ijede LCDA.
The consultative forum served as an open platform for discussions on sustainable development initiatives, infrastructure enhancements, and resident welfare.
Questions from stakeholders were welcomed and addressed with precision and transparency by the Vice Chairman, fostering a sense of community engagement.
The event attracted key figures, including the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Fadeyi Kehinde; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Kunle Olambiwoninu; Councillors, Exco Members, Council Manager Mrs. Adebimpe Akintola, Council Management, Baales, Religious and Market Leaders, CDC/CDA Excos, Youth Representatives, Political Leaders, and representatives from security agencies.
The Stakeholders’ Consultative Forum not only showcased the achievements of the Ijede LCDA administration but also demonstrated a commitment to inclusive governance by actively involving the diverse voices of the community in shaping the development agenda for the upcoming year.
