In a commendable acknowledgment of outstanding leadership, Ikorodu News Network (INN) has honored Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, with the prestigious Award of Excellence for 2023.

Born into the esteemed family of Pa. Karimu Adesina approximately 53 years ago, Hon. Adesina’s journey has been one marked by dedication and service. His educational foundation includes Ijomu Primary School in the Sheriff Area of Ikorodu and Oriwu College, where he studied between 1977 and 1982.

Embarking on a career in the civil service, Adesina contributed significantly to the Ministry of Local Government and Community Development.

A member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and a Certified Public Administrator, his passion for social work led him to enroll in the Community Development program.

This commitment also propelled him to serve as a consultant for the United Nations in the Community Development Program (UNDP) and contribute to the development of Bauchi State Service in 1989.

Driven by a thirst for knowledge, Hon. Adesina pursued higher education, earning his first degree in Political Science from Lagos State University in 1998.

Subsequently, he obtained a Masters in Public Administration with a specialization in Human Resources Management from the same university in 2001.

Remaining an astute diplomat, an enigmatic politician, a committed public servant, and a resourceful Community Development Officer, Hon. Adesina’s administrative acumen has been instrumental in his role as the present Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government.
