GRAND SUCCESS AT THE 8TH EDITION OF OLORI KUDIRAT ABOSEDE SHOTOBI ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IN AYANGBURE AND BEE ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

On the 23rd of December 2023, Ayangbure Palace was adorned with joy and festive cheer as Olori Kudirat Abosede Shotobi celebrated the 8th edition of the Annual Scholarship Program, coinciding with the Children’s Christmas party.

The event, a beacon of hope for bright minds from less privileged backgrounds in Ikorodu Division, unfolded with grand success.

Expressing her gratitude at the palace where the event took place, Olori Kudirat extended thanks to Chief’s, Baale’s, Students, Corporate bodies, Companies, Family and Friends, and Guardians for their unwavering support.

Emphasizing the spirit of Christmas, she highlighted the importance of reaching out to the less privileged, offering alms to the poor, and spreading happiness in the community.

Olori Kudirat passionately underscored the crucial role of nurturing the children, the future leaders, especially those excelling academically.

She called upon parents to stay vigilant, monitor their children’s activities, and prioritize security for the well-being of the younger generation.

In his welcome address, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi reiterated the scholarship program’s commitment to giving back to the community.

He encouraged students to remain focused during the festive season, urging them not to relent in their academic pursuits.

Mr. Afolabi Amusa, Education Secretary of the Local Government Educational Authority (LGEA), shared that the 8th edition witnessed the participation of 66 primary schools in Ikorodu, organized in two phases for Oba Ayangbure and Bee.

The event culminated in the celebration of winners, with Jacott Idara from Ayangbure Primary School securing the prestigious 1st position.

Mr. Dayo Philip, the dedicated Coordinator for the Olori Kudirat Shotobi Annual Scholarship program, expressed gratitude for his role in coordinating the program.

He highlighted the inclusion of a Spelling B competition involving 20 Local Governments in Lagos, showcasing the educational prowess of Ikorodu.

Ashipa Kaoli Olatunji Olusanya commended the organizers, emphasizing that education is the bedrock of societal progress.

He expressed anticipation for even greater achievements in the forthcoming editions of the Scholarship program.

Parents and guardians, echoing sentiments of appreciation, expressed their gratitude for the platform provided to showcase their children’s talents.

Mr. Rotimi Erogbobo specifically commended Olori Kudirat Shotobi for extending support to both private and government schools.

As the event concluded, participants and organizers united in expressing heartfelt gratitude to Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi and Olori Kudirat Shotobi for their unwavering commitment to education and community development.
