In a collaborative effort, the 174 Battalion and the Ikorodu Local Government joined forces to bring a much-needed health initiative to the residents of Ikorodu.

The “Exercise Still Waters 2023” free medical program unfolded on December 23, 2023, at Alaka Fuel Station, Along Itamaga Road, Sabo, drawing appreciation from the local community.

Residents of Ikorodu turned out in significant numbers to benefit from the diverse medical services offered during the outreach.

The program included check-ups, consultations, and the provision of essential medications, all free of charge.

Commendations flowed from those who took advantage of the opportunity, expressing gratitude for the timely and impactful initiative.

Hon. Wasiu Adesina, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, was unable to attend the event in person but was well represented by the Secretary to the local government (SLG), Alhaji Lateef Afinni.

In a statement, Alhaji Afinni described the program as a December support aid aimed at reminding residents to prioritize their health amidst the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

The “Exercise Still Waters” initiative underscores the commitment of both the 174 Battalion and the Ikorodu Local Government to the well-being of the community.
