In a groundbreaking move, Ikorodu News Network (INN) recently hosted a historical award presentation at IKD 106.1 FM Radio Ikorodu, bringing the awardees closer to the general public.

Eromona Michael, also known as Sir Mikky, the Creative Publisher at INN, explained that the motive behind this unique event was to highlight the awardees and showcase their accomplishments with visible credibility.

“Everything we said about them is actually what they’ve accomplished, and they were able to back it up by speaking more about it,” Michael stated.

The aim was to provide a platform for the recipients to share their experiences and achievements directly with the public, fostering a deeper connection between the community and the honored individuals.

“Not only did we give the recipients space to react, but we also made them share with us their plans for next year (2024),” Michael added.

This approach not only recognized past achievements but also looked towards the future aspirations of the awardees, creating a holistic understanding of their contributions.

The decision to host the award presentation at IKD 106.1 FM Radio Ikorodu was a deliberate one, as Michael explained, “The idea came, and I knew that was the way to go this time around. And if you watch, I’ve not seen an award presentation done this way before, so it was historical to me going in this direction.”

This innovative approach to award ceremonies sets a new standard, emphasizing transparency and direct engagement between the awardees and the public.

INN’s commitment to presenting awards in a fresh and unprecedented manner not only celebrates the achievements of individuals but also promotes a more intimate understanding of their endeavors within the community.

This historical event marks a significant step in reshaping the landscape of award presentations, setting a precedent for meaningful and transparent recognition in the future.
