The Creative Publisher of Ikorodu News Network (INN) Eromona Michael, also known as Sir Mikky, has explained why his visual media space INN-HOUSE was launched.

According to him, the move came as a strategic response to the 2023 post-election dip in activities and the challenges posed by the fuel subsidy removal, which impacted the media industry.

Sir Mikky explained, “After the elections, activities were down, and we had fewer stories to cover aside from the fuel subsidy removal, which also affected our jobs.”

Seeking ways to keep the agency operational during downtimes, he conceived the idea of INN-HOUSE in his newly opened studio.

Dealing with diverse personalities, Sir Mikky recognized the need to accommodate guests who preferred alternative locations for interviews.

He stated, “Not everyone wants to come to the studio; some expect you to come to their offices, and for me, that’s an option I can’t turn down. So, we did it according to the choice of our guests, and in the end, our online TV channel thrived, confirming that INN-HOUSE has come to stay.”

Reflecting on the tenacity required in the media industry, Sir Mikky emphasized discipline as a key factor.

“Tenacity is discipline, and for inspiring media practitioners, it takes a whole lot of discipline to stay afloat in this sector,” he asserted.

Highlighting the success of Ikorodu News Network as a platform, Sir Mikky underscored the importance of diversification. “We can’t put all our eggs in one basket. It was a wise decision for me to go visual, which paid off big time by expanding our clientele and consumer reach,” he concluded, expressing confidence in the continued growth of INN-HOUSE as an integral part of Ikorodu News Network’s multimedia approach.
