HON. WASIU ADESINA ANNOUNCES GRAND CELEBRATION FOR ALAGURA OF AGURA’S FIRST ANNIVERSARY ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

In a press conference held on the 4th of January 2024, at Ikorodu local government’s secretariat, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, the council boss, unveiled plans for a grand celebration marking the first anniversary of the esteemed Alagura of Agura, Oba Ahmed M. Olakunle Ogunnaike Ogunderu.

To organize and oversee the event, a 13-man committee has been inaugurated, led by Alhaji Babatunde Tajudeen Rotinwa.

The anniversary event is scheduled for January 20, 2024, and is expected to showcase the rich cultural heritage and unique rulership of Oba Ahmed Moruf Olakunle Ogunnaike.

During the press conference, Hon. Wasiu Adesina expressed excitement about the celebration, emphasizing its significance in highlighting the beauty and cultural richness of the people of Agura.

A special touch to the event was revealed with the unveiling of the official Ankara fabric, which will be worn by special guests and attendees, adding a vibrant cultural flair to the occasion.

The 13-man committee includes notable individuals such as Alhaji Junaid Owokoodu, Engr. Martins Odupitan, Alh. Lateef Afinni, Alhaja Rasheedat Bello, Hon. Adebowale Adebola, Alhaja Adebukola Oluwakemi Osho, Chief Mrs Animashaun Idowu (Iyalode of Agura), Hon. Abideen Fasasi, Chief Badru Fatai (Baale Ipomi), Prince Lasisi Adeniyi, Prince Adewunmi Amusa, Hon. Shafari Murisiku, and Hon. Lateef Oyefusi.

“As the community eagerly anticipates this milestone celebration, it promises to be a memorable event that brings together tradition, culture, and unity in honouring the reign of the Alagura of Agura” Adesina asserted.
