Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo Alogba, the Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, shared insights into the remarkable achievements of the preceding year, attributing success to prudent resource management within the confines of the allocated budget.

Addressing the media on the 15th of January, Chairman Alogba presented the eagerly awaited “Year 2024 Appropriation Bill/Budget” to the legislative house, unveiling a budget titled “A Budget Of A Renewed Hope For Sustainable Economic Growth And Development.”

This marked a strategic shift towards prioritizing economic growth and development in the local government.

Underlining the significance of fostering economic viability, Chairman Alogba asserted, “Our dream of a better local government can only become a reality when a conducive atmosphere is created.”

She acknowledged the accomplishments in Education and Youth Development from the previous year, expressing satisfaction with the strides made in those areas.

For the ongoing fiscal year, the focus has broadened to encompass all aspects contributing to the prosperity and well-being of the residents.

Seeking continued support, Chairman Alogba emphasized the need for a harmonious relationship between the executive and legislative branches.

Chairman Alogba also extended her call to residents, urging them to actively participate in the local government’s success by promptly settling all rates and bills.

The Executive Chairman’s address has set a promising tone for the year, focusing on economic revitalization and sustainable development through collaboration and financial responsibility to realize the outlined goals in Ijede LCDA.
