In a passionate plea for increased security measures, Hon. Balogun Rotimi Olatunbosun, a former Lagos state House of Assembly aspirant has put forth a comprehensive solution to address the alarming surge in kidnappings and criminal activities on federal roads in Nigeria.

Olatunbosun proposes the establishment of a joint task force comprising 10,000 military personnel equipped for both ground and air operations.

This formidable force according to him is intended to specifically target the hideouts of criminals in cities and remote areas, including forest reserves.

The suggested task force would consist of experienced and retired military personnel, strategically deployed across the country in batches covering the north, south, east, and west simultaneously.

Expressing frustration with the perceived hesitancy of security formations to address criminal activities in forest reserves and remote areas, Olatunbosun emphasizes the urgency of proactive measures.

He contends that the deployment of a well-trained and sizeable joint task force would compel terrorists and kidnappers to vacate the territory.

The business mogul highlights the current vulnerability of these areas, where criminals exploit the lack of security presence to establish bases and launch attacks.

Olatunbosun further criticized the reactive approach of the government, calling for a shift towards preventive measures to curb criminality effectively.

In presenting his solution, Hon. Balogun Rotimi Olatunbosun underscores the need for a swift and decisive response to secure the nation.

“As concerns regarding the safety of citizens on federal roads persist, the proposed joint task force aims to provide a robust and proactive solution to mitigate the escalating threat of kidnappings and criminal activities in Nigeria” he said via his social media platform.
