Ikorodu Musical Village – January 30, 2024

Acknowledging his dedicated service and impactful contributions to community development, Senator Adetokunbo Abiru was honoured with the prestigious Leadership Community Development Award by the Ikorodu North Community Development Committee (CDC).

The award presentation took place during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the vibrant Ikorodu Musical Village.

The Leadership Community Development Award was presented to the distinguished senator by Alhaji Azeez Amusat, Chairman of the Lagos State Community Development Advisory Council.

The presentation was received on behalf of Senator Abiru by his media aide, Mr. Enitan Olukotun, adding an extra layer of significance to the moment.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of Senator Abiru, Mr Olukotun commended the CDC for orchestrating a colourful and impactful AGM.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining a pace-setting approach to foster increased synergy among Community Development Associations (CDAs).

Highlighting the senator’s commitment to Ikorodu North LCDA, Mr Olukotun mentioned the various projects initiated by Senator Abiru, including the recent green light for the Itoikin road construction.

Despite these accomplishments, he asserted that the best is yet to come from the Lagos East representative, underscoring Senator Abiru’s unwavering dedication to the community.

Mr Olukotun urged the CDC to continue embracing collaborative traits in their endeavours.

He conveyed the senator’s pride in the committee’s efforts and acknowledged Senator Abiru’s determination to prioritize the AGM, despite a busy schedule involving the passage of an important bill at the 10th assembly.

The Leadership Community Development Award serves as a testament to Senator Adetokunbo Abiru’s impactful leadership and unwavering commitment to the betterment of the Ikorodu North community.
