ENHANCING SECURITY COLLABORATION: COMPTROLLER OF NIGERIA IMMIGRATION SERVICE & IKORODU LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN MEET ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

Poised to strengthening security ties and addressing shared concerns, Comptroller Bala Dangana PCC, FNSE, of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos Command, led a delegation to visit Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina, Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, at his on the 8th of February 2024.

During the courtesy visit, Comptroller Dangana outlined the current structure of the Nigeria Immigration Service in Lagos, emphasizing measures implemented to enhance efficiency and service quality within the institution.

Hon. Adesina expressed gratitude for the positive developments achieved under Comptroller Dangana’s leadership, particularly in immigration-related matters impacting the security landscape in Lagos State.

The Chairman specifically commended the Nigeria Immigration Service for milestones such as the successful implementation of the E-Passport system and the establishment of an immigration unit in Igbogbo, Ikorodu.

He highlighted the significance of Igbogbo community and Ikorodu in the broader context of Lagos State.

Addressing the collaborative efforts between the local government and the Nigeria Immigration Service, Hon. Adesina assured the delegation of his administration’s unwavering support.

He emphasized the critical role of collaboration in addressing security concerns and facilitating the seamless issuance of passports to Ikorodu residents.

In response, Comptroller Dangana expressed gratitude for the continuous support from the local government and reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Immigration Service to closely collaborate with Hon. Adesina’s administration.

The Comptroller welcomed further cooperation, particularly in areas related to security and passport issuance.

The courtesy visit served as a pivotal platform for both parties to explore potential areas of cooperation, fostering a stronger relationship between the Ikorodu Local Government and the Nigeria Immigration Service in Lagos.

As the meeting concluded, it was evident that the commitment to mutual support and collaboration would significantly contribute to the ongoing progress and security of Lagos State.
