BIDDERS FACE SCRUTINY FOR SOLOMADE ROAD CONSTRUCTION IN IKORODU: YELAT CONSTRUCTION EMERGES AS TOP CONTENDER ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

Pressing towards actualising the Solomade road construction project in Ikorodu local government, six companies submitted their bids for consideration, marking a crucial step in the selection process.

The official screening took place at the council premises on the 28th of February 2024, drawing attention from key stakeholders and officials.

The Executive arm of the council, including; Engr Oladapo Oluseyi, representing the council-manager, Engr Martins Odupitan, Hon. Lateef Oyefusi, Super for Budget and Revenue, along with Mr Mabunmi Tosin, chief of staff to the council chairman, were present at the conference room.

Delegates from the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency (PPA), led by Mr Bolanle Balogun, also attended the event.

The scrutiny of the bids revealed that out of the six companies vying for the Solomade road construction, four failed to meet the specified requirements set by the local government.

The remaining contenders, Yelat Construction Nigeria Limited and De’Raz Global Nigeria Limited, underwent a thorough evaluation.

Yelat Construction Nigeria Limited emerged as the company meeting all the stipulated requirements, positioning itself as the frontrunner for the Solomade road project.

Representatives from the winning company, Alhaji Lateef Adelakun, and the runner-up, Mr Abdul Olusanya of De’Raz Global Nigeria Limited, were given the allowed to comment on the outcome.

Both expressed confidence in the transparency of the bidding process.

Hon Murisiku Shafari, speaking on behalf of the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu local government, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, conveyed satisfaction with the bid, highlighting its transparency.

He explained that the Evaluation committee would now review the information assembled by the procurement unit, and the results would be forwarded to the state for further resolution.

“Solomade road construction project is about enhancing infrastructure in Ikorodu local government. The commitment to transparency and adherence to specified requirements ensures a fair and competitive process for the benefit of the community” Hon. Murisiku asserted.

Alhaja Rashidat Bello, woman leader/SSA WAPA, and officials from the information department of the council were also in attendance.
