President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu paid a solemn visit to Owo, Ondo State, extending deep condolences to the family of the late former Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
The President, accompanied by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, praised Akeredolu as a distinguished legal luminary and statesman during his visit to the Olowo of Owo Kingdom, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III’s palace.
Reflecting on the loss, President Tinubu stated, “We lost an illustrious son. Akeredolu was very close to me and an ally. He was a son of the soil, and I have come to pay homage.”
The President also conveyed prayers for the well-being, progress, and prosperity of the traditional ruler and the community.
He expressed gratitude to the people of Owo for their unwavering support to the bereaved family.
In a poignant show of solidarity, President Tinubu extended heartfelt condolences to the late governor’s widow, Betty, the children, and other family members, offering solace during this challenging time.
