PRESIDENT TINUBU LAUNCHES LAGOS RAIL MASS TRANSIT RED LINE, PAVING THE WAY FOR ENHANCED TRANSPORTATION ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

Earlier today, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu inaugurated the first phase of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Red Line project, marking a significant step toward improved transportation and logistics in the state.

The 37km project, aimed at reducing travel time and enhancing connectivity, was officially kicked off as President Tinubu witnessed the signing of Phase 2 contract by LAMATA Managing Director, Engr. Abimbola Akinajo, and CCECC Nigeria Limited Chairman, Jason Zhang.

Before departing for a state visit to Qatar, President Tinubu took an inaugural train ride from Ikeja to Agege, joined by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, state and federal officials, Chinese Ambassador Cui Jianchun, and select journalists.

Addressing the crowd at Ikeja station, President Tinubu emphasized collaboration between federal and subnational governments for a reliable, efficient, and affordable national transportation system, directing Minister of Transportation Senator Sa’idu Alkali to lead the effort.

Reflecting on his past role as Lagos State governor, Tinubu celebrated the realization of a dream – the modern and effective public transportation system.

He assured Nigerians that under his leadership, the nation would witness the growth of modern amenities, promising a more enjoyable life for all.
