Fostering gender inclusivity in politics, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, hosted the Lagos State Female Councilors Forum, Lagos State chapter, in a meeting held on the 6th of March 2024.

The purpose of the gathering was to promote and empower women in politics, recognizing the vital role they play in community development and governance.

The primary focus of the discussions revolved around strategies to encourage and elevate the participation of women in local government activities, acknowledging their unique perspectives and contributions to effective governance.

The meeting served as a platform to identify avenues for mentorship, capacity building, and networking opportunities that would further enhance the participation of female councilors in local governance.
