During the breaking of Ramadan fast on Wednesday in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu pledged to confer national honours upon the fallen military personnel who lost their lives in the recent tragic incident in Okuama, a community situated in the Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

This announcement came amidst a gathering that included the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and other notable leaders of the House.

President Tinubu expressed profound grief over the loss of the brave souls and emphasized the need to honor their sacrifice for the nation.

He highlighted the importance of acknowledging the invaluable service rendered by these fallen heroes, recognizing their dedication and commitment to safeguarding the integrity and security of the nation.

However, amidst this somber moment, President Tinubu also issued a cautionary note regarding the excessive summoning of government officials.

While acknowledging the necessity of oversight to uphold transparency and accountability in governance, he cautioned against the overzealous summoning of officials, emphasizing its potential to disrupt operational efficiency and hinder service delivery to citizens.
