IKORODU PECULIAR LIONS CLUB SPEARHEADS TREE PLANTING INITIATIVE AT MAYA JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL, GARNERING COMMUNITY ACCLAIM ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

On the 21st of March 2024, Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club took a proactive step towards environmental conservation by initiating a tree planting project at Maya Junior Secondary School, located in Ikorodu North LCDA.

With a concerted effort to promote nature and sustainability, the club members planted a total of 10 palm trees within the school premises.

The project execution witnessed the active participation of esteemed members of the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club, including the project coordinator, Lion Aluko Kayode, former president of the club, Lion Akinosho David, Lion Sanusi Aminat, Lion Alapafuja Fuad, and Lion Roselyn. Their dedication and commitment to fostering a greener environment were evident throughout the endeavor.

The initiative received overwhelming appreciation from the officials of Maya Junior Secondary School, who expressed their excitement and gratitude towards the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club for their noble contribution.

Showering accolades upon the club members, the school administration acknowledged the significance of such initiatives in enhancing the ecological landscape of the school premises and the community at large.

In response, the school administration pledged to diligently nurture the planted palm trees to ensure their healthy growth and development.

The collaborative effort between the Ikorodu Peculiar Lions Club and Maya Junior Secondary School signified a commendable partnership aimed at fostering environmental stewardship and instilling a sense of responsibility towards nature among the youth.
