
Hon. Shafari Murisiku Adeniyi, a longstanding community advocate in Ikorodu local government Ward C, comprising eight zones, has declared his intention to run for the position of Councillor for Ikorodu Central in the upcoming 2025 elections.
The move marks his fifth attempt at securing the esteemed role, driven by an unwavering commitment to serving his community and effecting positive change.
Expressing his deep-rooted love for his community to Ikorodu News Network (INN), Adeniyi detailed his fervent desire to contribute meaningfully to the development of his ward and the broader community through dedicated and practical representation.
He outlined his vision for empowerment initiatives aimed at uplifting the less privileged within his constituency, including bursary awards for indigent students, and monthly stipends for the elderly and widows, all within the constraints of his limited resources.
Adeniyi also pledged to uphold transparency and accountability in his stewardship, promising quarterly accounts of his activities to keep his ward members informed and engaged.
In addition to his commitment to addressing the immediate needs of his constituents, Adeniyi unveiled ambitious plans for educational empowerment, including regular and holiday coaching for pupils from basic 1 to 6, as well as the provision of stationery to students to enhance their learning experience.
