Working towards enhancing the operational efficiency ofIkorodu government revenue department, the ExecutiveChairman, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, presented two brandnew space buses on May 7, 2024.
The presentation, held at the council Secretariat afterthe annual council staff forum, marked a significantmilestone in the council’s commitment to improvingservice delivery.
Accompanied by the Lagos State President of theNigerian Union of Local Government Employees(NULGE), Comrade Sunday Ogunfowora, Hon. WasiuAdesina highlighted the importance of equippingrevenue staff with the necessary resources to excel intheir duties.
The provision of space buses aims to facilitate easiertransportation for revenue personnel, enabling them tocover more ground efficiently.
Addressing members of the press, Hon. Adesinaexpressed his confidence that the new buses wouldenable revenue staff to achieve greater productivity,leading to increased revenue generation for the localgovernment.
He emphasized the council’s dedication to the welfare ofits employees and affirmed its commitment to providingthe necessary tools for optimal performance.
Furthermore, the council chairman announced plans tosupply an additional three space buses to the revenuedepartment before the conclusion of the year.
This pledge demonstrates the council’s proactiveapproach to meeting the evolving needs of its workforceand ensuring continuous improvement in servicedelivery.
The gesture presented to the new council-manager,shaanu shaipe received a widespread commendationfrom both the NULGE Lagos State President and councilstaff, who lauded Hon. Wasiu Adesina’s commitment toenhancing the responsibilities of local governmentemployees.
