IKORODU LOCAL GOVERNMENT FLAGS OFF CONSTRUCTION OF 114 ROADS, INCLUDING SOLOMADE & ADEKAIYAOJA STREET ®™√ INN Nigeria ©

Ikorodu Local Government marked a significant milestone as it officially flagged off the construction of Solomade & Adekaiyaoja Street on Wednesday the 15th of May 2024.

This initiative falls under the broader aim of the Lagos State 114 Road Construction project, aimed at fostering development and enhancing infrastructure within communities.

Solomade & Adekaiyaoja Street holds strategic importance as it serves as an alternative route for vehicles, alleviating congestion on the main Ayangbure road.

This project marks the fourth link road undertaken by Ikorodu Local Government, demonstrating its commitment to enhancing transportation networks and easing traffic flow for residents.

The flag-off program was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Alh. Folorunsho Lamidi, Alh. Shittu Ganiu, Iya-Oloja of Ikorodu Central, Mrs Adebukola Osho, Mrs Oshinowo, Mr Shipe Sanu (Council-Manager), Hon.Abdullateef Afini (SLG), Ogunjimi Yekinni (CDC Chairman), Mr Ajigboye Obafemi (HOD Agric), women leaders, representatives from CDAS, Baale’s, Party Ward Chairmen, and other community leaders.

Speaking before the flag-off, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, expressed gratitude to the residents, dignitaries and attendees, and emphasized the significance of Solomade & Adekayaoja Street in providing an alternative route for the community.

He acknowledged the efforts of Conference 57 and the Lagos State government in spearheading infrastructure development across all local governments.

Highlighting the importance of community involvement, Hon. Adesina urged residents to ensure the maintenance of the newly constructed road to preserve its longevity and functionality.

He reassured the community of forthcoming construction projects in Ikorodu, announcing the next focus to be Arolowo Road Itunpate.

“With continued collaboration and support from all stakeholders, the completion of Solomade & Adekaiyaoja street promises to bring tangible benefits to residents and further propel the region towards sustainable growth and prosperity” Adesina asserted.

Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Aarebirin Honorable (Dr) Princess Folashade Oba commended Adesina for his proactive approach to community development, describing him as a man of action.

She called upon residents to unite with the Local Government and the contractor to ensure the success of the project and secure a prosperous future for the community.

The flag-off ceremony symbolizes a significant step towards enhancing transportation infrastructure and fostering community development in Ikorodu.
